"A Grain of Salt"

How did I write this cheesy song in only 10 minutes?  Very simple...Practiced for 20 years.
What you heard is an excerpt of a longer piece.  The magic of a song (even a cheesy one) lies in one very fundamental reality.  Its called honesty.   If you can master the honesty in your work, then you have the liberty to rob others blind of their work.  (Picasso said once : "...A brilliant artist borrows ideas...A genius steals them..."

Not saying I'm brilliant or a genius, but I am saying that I really I get how they did it.
The next key component, which so many idiots in the music and poetry biz overlook is the "fun" factor.   If you go into this business actually expecting people to take your shit seriously, you're already done in and might as well do what you really feel safe doing, which is to get a lame job somewhere pontificating the ills of the political systems, theocracies and social contexts that you couldn't pull off singing or publishing about... I believe the occupation is called "Teaching"...which...wouldn't ya know... I did for the longest time.   Actually I still do it...but I'm getting paid a whole lot more than your average...say... Starbucks barista...But I digress...My whole point is that this cheesy song was done... and should be taken with... a grain of salt.   That's all.

Thanks : )
